HARP has successfully recertified CRU DUPLEX bearings

In August 2021, the CRU DUPLEX bearings designed for application in countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, successfully passed full-scale bench tests as part of recertification. At the same time, a technological audit was conducted at the Kharkiv Bearing Plant (HARP) by the certification body KAZAKHSTAN CERTIFICATION CENTER ON RAILWAY TRANSPORT.

According to the results of recertification, HARP once again confirmed the conformity of its products and production processes with the requirements of the Eurasian Union standards. As a result, a certificate of conformity was obtained for the next five years.

For the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, CRU DUPLEX is manufactured in accordance with the requirements of TR TS 001/2011. The double roller bearing with short cylindrical rollers and protective washers is filled with a grease specially developed by Kluberpleх Lubrication, is completed according to radial clearances and the size of the bore of the inner rings and does not require additional operations before mounting on the axle.

CRU DUPLEX is positioned as a "cylindrical cartridge bearing", being an alternative to expensive taper cartridge bearings for bogies with an axle load of 23,5 t/f. At the same time, it provides the whole complex of increased requirements for durability and resource, strength and energy efficiency, unification and ease of installation or disassembly.

The overhaul life of the CRU DUPLEX bearings has been increased up to 800 000 km with a warranty period of up to 8 years. The product retains its operability and energy efficiency even at low temperatures up to - 60 °C.

Application of the CRU DUPLEX bearings is a cost-effective and technically justified solution, both during the construction of the new wagons and during routine repairs. It allows to increase the reliability of the axlebox, as well as to reduce the costs of carrying out running uncoupling repairs of wagons during their operation.
