UPEC IG developments were awarded the status “Project of the year’ at the exhibition RAIL EXPO 2018

Within the framework of the participation in II International exhibition RAIL EXPO 2018 (October 16-18) UPEC Industrial Group was awarded “Ukrainian Rail Award” in the nomination “Project of the year” for the development and production of cassette-type closed bearing TBU 1520 (150х250), developed for freight cars with load 25 ton-force on gauge 1520 space axle.       

“Winning in the nomination “Project of the year”, UPEC confirmed its leadership in the railway industry, –  Viktor Gukov, Director of Railway Division, tells. – Within the framework of the exhibition RAIL EXPO 2018, “Ukrainian Rail Award” was awarded for the first time in Ukraine. The implemented projects, which heavily influenced the Ukrainian railway industry, were considered in the nomination. We are proud that our UPEC IG developments are one of them.”

TBU HARP 1520  bearing unit is applied for installation under the freight cars adapters with 2525 ton-force load from the axle on the gauge. “The run between repairs of the bearing unit is 800 000 km with the exploitation warranty period up to 8 years, herewith providing its workability and energy efficiency by low temperatures up to -60º C. According to the results of the resource tests, which were conducted in the certificated Test Center, TBU 1520 (150х250) showed correspondence to the highest world standards in the reliability and wear-resistance as well as in the energy efficiency”, – Maksim Krasnikov, Technical Director, adds. 

        

At the exhibition, UPEC IG Railway Division also presented CRU DUPLEX cassette units for freight and passenger car axle boxes with increased run between repairs in 2,5 times up to 800 000 km or up to 8 years. It is to be noted that CRU DUPLEX cylindrical bearing unit corresponds to the technical requirements of the freight cars running gears, which are purchased for Ukrzaliznitsya needs.

In addition, there is CRB HARP closed bearing unit with short cylindrical rollers, which is applied for locomotives traction electric motors, among the innovative equipment samples. 

However, in addition to Kharkov Bearing Plant products, the exhibition visitors have familiarized themselves with the railway product range of Lozova Forging-Mechanical Plant – ПМКП-110 absorbing friction unit of T1 class. It is highly efficient shock absorber of increased power intensity, which is applied for protection of the universal multi-purposed freight cars from axial load and damages.

With the frameworks of the exhibition, UPEC IG Railway Division negotiated with key visitors of the event and there are carriage repair enterprises representatives, rolling-stock owners and operations staff, research institutes representatives and others among them.

“The representatives from Ukraine, India, Georgia, Belarus, Poland are interested in our products for the railway industry and we are going to improve our partnership”, – Victor Gukov sums up.

UPEC Industrial Group and the enterprises, which are included in the corporation, contribute into the revival of the Ukrainian carriage engineering and railway industry on the whole, implementing design innovations and technologies for the industry developing that is repeatedly confirmed, particularly on the exhibition RAIL EXPO 2018.
