UPEC IG RAILWAY DIVISION WILL PRESENT A NEW GENERATION OF ENERGY-EFFICIENT BEARINGS AT RAIL EXPO 2017 (KIEV)

October 24 - 25, the UPEC IG Railway Division will present a new generation of energy efficient bearings for the railway sector of the "1520 gauge space" track at the international railway exhibition "Rail Expo 2017" (Kiev).

The visitors of the exhibition, which will be held in the B2B format, will be able to get acquainted with innovative HARP bearing solutions for the railway sector and get professional advice from the specialists of the UPEC IG profile division.

In the stationary exposition UPEC will present innovative products designed specifically for the 1520 gauge space:

- Double cylindrical cassette-type bearing assembly with CRU Duplex short cylindrical rollers for the axle boxes of freight and passenger wagons with a load of 23.5 t / s per axle;

- The 150 x 250 double row bearing with TBU HARP 1520 cassette-type conical rollers designed for new wagons with an increased carrying capacity of 25 t / s per axle and above.

A new generation of energy-efficient closed cassette-type HARP bearing units is designed specifically for the "1520 gauge space" operation conditions and has an increased overhaul mileage of 800,000 km or 8 years that withstand a range of outside temperatures from -60 ° C to + 120 ° C and provide a higher car capacity.

The use of these bearings allows not only to significantly increase the level of traffic safety but also to cut down the demurrage rate by reducing the number of off-schedule uncoupling and repair time, as well decreasing the cost of wheel set repair work during subsequent depot repairs. All these factors considered together, this will increase the infrastructure throughput capacity and reduce the costs of wagon repair during their life cycle.
